Rehydratation and empowering preparation used in dogs and cats regulating disproportion of electrolytes and liquids deficit in organism due its increased consumption

Form of medicament: Oral crystalline powder of white colour for oral rehydration therapy promoting intestinal absorbtion of water and electrolytes used in dogs and cats. Composition: Effective substance: sodium chloride, potassium chloride , sodium hydrogen carbonate, maltodextrine , glucose monohydrate. Clinical information : Powder is used for reversing the process of dehydration and loss of electrolytes following diarrhea and vomitus, as symptomatic treatment for severe life threatening diarrhea caused by parvovirus infection, as an aid in post-operative care where rehydration is required in the recovery period, thermic shocks, compensation of fluids, convalescence, switching from parenteral to enteral nutrition and for electrolyte balances especially developed for the volume compensation to balance fluid and electrolyte loss in dogs and cats. Dosing and way of application: Peroral application. Add all amount of sack (27,5g) into 500 ml/ (275g) into 5l of water and mix. Apply 2 times per day in dogs, 3 times per day in cats given for 3-6 days. In puppies and kittens the should be given up to 25 ml/kg. After use an additional water may be given. Post-operative supportive therapy: As a recovery from anaesthesia for 3 days. Precautions: There might be some contraindications: Anuria, digestive insufficiency and persisting vomitus.Glucose and maltodextrine should be used with care in dogs known to be diabetic. May be used during pregnancy and lactation. Electrolyte solutions are not compatible with sulphonamides. Storage: The product should be stored in dry place at temperature not above 25°C.
