Form of medicament: Oral powder of white to light yellow colour used in mammals, poultry and exotic animals.
Composition : Effective substance – ascorbic acid 25g, sacharose ad 100g.
Clinical information: Supporting and preventive treatment due to Vitamin C deficit in organism of animals in cases such as infectious diseases, bleeding, reproductive disorders, increased physical strain, inappetence, changed enviroment and feed, in the season of an intensive growth, convalescence, age , pregnancy, as a prevention against stress situations, transport, overheating during summer and emaciation.It maintains cardiovascular function and stabilisation of bone tissue and protection of an intestinal endothelium. It is also used as a prevention in skin and mucous membrane injuries and infections, as a supplement in category of animals that are not capable to synthetise own ascorbic acid (monkeys, guinea pigs, calves until 3th week of age). It has an increasing effect on egg-laying, detoxicating effect on sulphonamides, arsenic compounds, nitrosamides, aniline and aniline dyes.It has positive effect on skin regeneration (wounds, ekzema, dermatitis) and fracture healing.
Dosing and way of application: Peroral aplication of powder into drinking water given 5-25 days.
Mammals: 0,4 – 1,2 g per 10 kg Poultry: 0,8- 2g per 10kg Exotic animals: 0,1-0,2 g per 1kg At an increased physical strain- increased dosage 2-3 times per day given 5-7 days.
Precautions: Vitamin C might influence the effect of heparine and coumarine anticoagulatives and can increase the risk of crystalluria, It is excluded by urine and milk. Acetylsalicylic acid, barbiturates and tetracyclines increase its excluding by urine, corticosteroids and salicylates decrease utilisation and absorption of vitamin C. It might influence an antibacterial effect of some antibiotics. Use the product until 30 days after opening.
Storage: The product should be stored in dry place at temperature 15-25°C, protected from direct sunlight.
