Form of medicament: Ear solution of turquoise blue colour used in dogs and cats. Composition: Effective substance: EDTA, tromethamol, salicylic acid , PCMX, sodium docusate, propylene glycol. Excipiens: lactic acid, sodium hydroxide, patent blue and sunset yellow (col.), demineralized sterilised water. Clinical information:Otologic solution with neutral pH and cleansing, antiseptic, moisturizing action on the ear duct used in dogs and cats. It is used for prevention and preventive-therapy of otitis. The action of antiseptic PCMX combined with salicylic acid that has antimycotic effect, allows the control of optimal microflora in ear canal. Their combination provides antiinflammatory and keratoplastic effect that is potentiated by Tris-EDTA. Docusate sodium with its cerumenolytic effect has anti-earwax and cleansing action and propylene glycol moisturizes mucosa of ear canal. This product is non-irritating and is adequate for young animals and animals with sensitive skin of ear canal. Dosing and way of application : Apply deeply into ear duct and softly massage the base of the ear to allow an appropriate distribution of the product inside the ear canal.Clear out the earwax with cotton bud. Repeat the treatment twice a day for 10-14 days. This product can be used as a preventative measure. In this case it is applied 1-2 times a week. Precautions: Do not use if there is any defect of ear drum, onto irritated surface of the skin or into traumatized or damaged integrity of ear drum. Avoid the eye contact with the product. Do not use if an animal is sensitive to salicylates. Storage: The product should be stored at temperature 5-25°C.
